Diversity of Cornish Waterbirds

This project was to photograph the diversity of water birds in the South-West coasts of Cornwall. I also identified the species and explored how they are distributed in this specific habitat. I was amazed with how many species I found. (Little Egret, Mallard, Coot, Moorhen, Tufted Duck and a Little Grebe)

I experimented using frame filling portraits for an aesthetic feeling to the image but also shots which included their natural surrounding environment as these can tell a more detailed narrative of my subject. My main goal was to make people feel more engaged with the birdlife and appreciate what we have. Afterall, it’s their home too!
